Early silent version of James Fenimore Cooper's classic story. It's not the best transfer in the world, and I couldn't find any info on this at IMDB, but according to the information I have, that's Bela Lugosi in the role of Chingachgook. If that's not Bela, it sure looks like him. Runs about 45 minutes.

aka hawkeye
how bizarre can a movie get? there is nothing in this movie but a tale set upon a kite and flames set to the tail of the wispy construction until the whole thing comes crashing down to earth in a smoldering wreck.
had it one reference to any motive or carried through with any internal plot or character development it would have been one thing, but it was just ridiculous.

The Deerslayer
Thanks for uploading The Deerslayer this is one of many early Bela Lugosi films I need for my collection; Chingachgook is indeed Bela Lugosi. The film is one of Lugosi’s early German films, entitled Der Wildtöter und Chingachgook and aka for the English speaking world as The Deerslayer and Chingachgook. The IMDb link:
